  • Indu Nidheesh

    FOUNDER, DIRECTOR

    Smt. Indu Nidheesh is an alumnus of the Kalakshetra Foundation, Chennai and currently a faculty member at the institution. Indu was awarded the Best Outgoing Student by the Kalakshetra Foundation, and has also accompanied the Kalakshetra Repertory on several tours abroad including Bangkok, Singapore, China, Cambodia and Switzerland.

  • Nidheesh Kumar

    FOUNDER, DIRECTOR

    Sri Nidheesh Kumar is an alumnus of the Kalakshetra Foundation, Chennai. He has had the opportunity to play and perform several powerful, lead characters like Vali, Sugriva, Indra and Ravana in many of Smt Rukmini Devi’s productions. Nidheesh has been noticed and highly praised for his larger-than-life stage presence and immense dedication to the art form.

  • Dr. Jayadev

    AYURVEDA DOCTOR

    Dr. Jayadev is a highly reputed doctor in the art of Ayurveda. In the year 1986, he graduated with a medical degree in Ayurveda (BAMS) fromCoimbatore Ayurveda College under the University of Madras. He did his post Graduation in Kayachikitsa (General Medicine), under Gujrat Ayurveda University, Jamnagar, Gujrat, in the year 1990, and continues to be a strong supporter and patron of the arts even today.

    MALE SINGER & NATTUVANAR

    A person of inspirational high caliber, Sri Balakrishnan has tremendous knowledge in his field, which has made him a storm and unique personality among many in the performing arts network. He continues to be a source of inspiration to the many splendid musicians and dance choreographers he has touched.

  • Kottakkal Kesavan Kundalayar

    KATHAKALI ARTIST

    Sri Kesavan Kundalayar is a well reputed kathakali artist of great caliber. He has studied this art form since the age of 12, and underwent formal training with several gurus and notably in P. S. V. Natya Sangham (Arya Vaidyasala Kottakkal). As an artist who holds the traditions of kathakali in its purest form, Sri. Kesavan has received several accolades to his merit. His artistry and passion towards the arts helps preserve kathakali artistry even today.

  • Arun Shankar

    BHARATANATYAM DANCER

    Sri. Arun Sankar is an ex-faculty member of Kalakshetra Foundation, Chennai (an institute of national importance under the Ministry of Culture). After completing his post-graduation, Arun went on to become the youngest faculty in the history of Kalakshetra and was conferred the ‘T S Parthasarathy Award’ by Madras Music Academy in 2007.  He is also a recipient of the prestigious Central Government scholarship for Arts/Dance constituted by the Government of India and had also served as the Head of Department of Performing Arts with the Alliance University, Bangalore.
